First Working Meeting of the 5GDNA Energy Internet Group
The 5G deterministic networking alliance successfully held the first working meeting of the energy Internet group in Nanjing at September 6. This meeting focused on the smart grid industry insight and the work plan of the energy Internet group, and reached a consensus on the goal of 5G deterministic networking in the energy Internet industry, to build a 5G deterministic networking industry ecosystem.

During MWC Shanghai, more than 30 industry partners established the 5G deterministic networking alliance. The alliance aims to promote open collaboration between upstream and downstream industries, incubate industry best practices, promote healthy and sustainable development of the industry, continuously promote industry consensus and ecosystem construction, and accelerate 5G industry development.

More than 30 representatives from 11 units of the alliance's energy Internet group attended the meeting, including the Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute, China Southern Power Grid, Jiangsu Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid, Nanrui Group's Information and Communications Technology Branch, Beijing Sifang Automation, Jiang Su Fang Tian Electric Power Technology, Guangdong Telecommunications Planning and Designing Institute, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, and Huawei.
At the conference, guests from China Unicom, Huawei, Global Energy Internet Research Institute, and China Southern Power Grid delivered speeches as representatives of the 5G deterministic networking alliance, and expressed their hopes and guidance for the work of the energy Internet group.

Huawei shared its insights into the 5G deterministic networking-enabled smart grid industry, and discussed the potential business scenarios, common technical requirements, construction modes, O&M modes, and business models of smart grids. State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Research Institute shared the application of 5G+ energy Internet, introduced the construction and service bearing of the existing power system communication network, and summarized the application prospect and common requirements of 5G+ energy Internet from the perspective of service development.

As the leaders of the energy Internet group, the Global Energy Internet Research Institute and China Southern Power Grid organized the discussion on the follow-up work plan of the group. Leaders and experts at the meeting actively provided suggestions and spoke freely. They specified the future research direction of special topics, including requirement scenarios, feasibility study of key technologies, white paper on construction and business model, and breakpoints in technologies, business, and ecosystem, and promoted the incubation of 5G+ energy Internet solutions, accelerate the development of the industry.

This work meeting has clarified the vision and work objectives of the energy Internet group of the alliance. The group members will deepen communication and cooperation, develop 5G+energy Internet solutions and standards based on differentiated and deterministic network capabilities, and promote the testing, verification, and application deployment of technologies, products, and solutions, jointly build a 5G deterministic networking industry ecosystem, promote 5G application research in the energy Internet industry, seize the innovation opportunities brought by 5G, and create an intelligent future.
