5G Deterministic Networking Alliance Industrial Internet Group Seminar

Recently, the 5G deterministic networking alliance successfully held the Industrial Internet group seminar at Beijing. This meeting focuses on the application practice and exploration of 5G deterministic networking in the Industrial Internet industry, discusses the scenario requirements, commercial challenges, and action directions of the discrete manufacturing and process manufacturing industries to jointly build a 5G deterministic networking industrial Internet industry ecosystem.

Seminar Participants

The seminar was chaired by Dr. Huang Weilan, deputy leader of the Industrial Internet group. Liu Qicheng, secretary-general and omnimedia editor-in-chief of the Communications World, Zhang Yanguo, leader of the Industrial Internet group, and Vice President of the China Communications Industry Association, delivered opening speeches. Lv Ming, leader of the External Cooperation and Communication group, delivered concluding speeches and provided guidance for future work.

Seminar Scene

At the conference, attendees from Shen Ji Intelligence, Haier, TCL, Dingshi Technology, Hangzhou Huicui, PCITC, Zhejiang SUPCON, TOCEL, and IoT101 delivered keynote speeches, shared the application exploration, achievements, pain points, challenges, and solution suggestions of 5G deterministic networking in each professional domain, and analyzed the requirements of each industrial application scenario for 5G deterministic networking based on the actual cases of discrete manufacturing and process-based manufacturing. At the same time, the attendees had a heated discussion, sorted out and planned the promotion plan in terms of technology, business, standards, and ecosystem, and specified the content framework and work division of the 5G deterministic networking + industrial Internet convergence white paper.

Based on the previous alliance meeting, this seminar further clarified the typical requirements, key technology definitions, and commercial feasibility solutions of 5G deterministic networking in the industrial industry. It deepened the implementation practice, replication, and promotion strategy of testing, verifying, and deploying technologies, products, and solutions in showcases, which is of great significance to the promotion of the 5G industry. In the future, all members of the group will continue to conduct in-depth communication and cooperation, aiming at the business success of 5G deterministic networking in the industrial field, promote the maturity of 5G technologies and businesses in the industrial Internet industry, jointly build a 5G industrial Internet industry ecosystem, and create a 5G intelligent future.

More than 60 representatives from 26 organizations attended the seminar, including Communications World, China Communications Industry Association, Shen Ji Intelligence, Hangzhou Huicui, Suzhou Zhenchang, Hiscene, TCL, Haier, TopVision, ForwardX, YOFC, Juxing Technology, TD-tech, Zhejiang SUPCON, PCITC, and TOCEL, Guangdong Telecommunications Planning and Designing Institute, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Purple Mountain Laboratories, IoT101, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, CAICT, and Huawei.

The 5G deterministic networking is based on the ultra-distributed architecture of the cloud native. It uses key technologies such as ultra-performance heterogeneous MEC and dynamic intelligent network slicing to meet the differentiated network requirements and deterministic experience of the industry and enable all the industries. Established in June 2019, the 5G deterministic networking alliance aims to gather the strengths of the industry, promote communication, in-depth cooperation, supply-demand interconnection, and knowledge sharing among related entities, jointly build a 5G deterministic networking industry ecosystem, and effectively promote the development of the 5G deterministic networking industry towards business success.
