First Working Meeting of the 5GDNA Healthcare Internet Group
On September 10, the 5G deterministic networking alliance successfully held the first working meeting of the healthcare Internet group at Beijing. This meeting discussed the application of 5G deterministic networking in the healthcare field and recognized the importance and development prospect of 5G deterministic networking in the healthcare Internet industry, preliminarily drafted the topic tasks and objectives of the 5G deterministic networking alliance healthcare Internet group.

During MWC Shanghai, Huawei and more than 30 industry partners established the 5G deterministic networking alliance. The alliance aims to promote open collaboration between upstream and downstream industries, incubate industry best practices, promote healthy and sustainable development of the industry, continuously promote industry consensus and ecosystem construction, and accelerate 5G industry development.

The conference was attended by 23 representatives from many organizations, including China-Japanese Friendship Hospital, China Mobile (Chengdu) Industry Research Institute, China Unicom, Guangdong Telecommunications Planning and Designing Institute, Beijing Xiaoxiao Medical Information Technology, and Huawei.

Lu Qingjun, deputy director of the medical service department of China-Japan Friendship Hospital, delivered a speech as the leader of the healthcare Internet group of the alliance. He also proposed requirements and guidance on the application of 5G deterministic networking in the healthcare Internet industry. He hoped that the alliance could focus on 5G and make breakthroughs in several medical scenarios, gradually drive the healthy and orderly development of the 5G healthcare industry from the perspectives of technology, standards, and business, and enable 5G smart healthcare to play a greater role in society.

Zhong Jing, Director of R&D Department 1 of China Mobile (Chengdu) Industry Research Institute, introduced China Mobile's 5G+ plan to build a new industry ecosystem and enable industry development. In the smart healthcare field, China Mobile has launched 5G healthcare application practices and demonstration pilots, built the world's first 5G disaster emergency rescue system, and released smart hospitals, smart healthcare edge computing, and 5G security/white papers for smart healthcare. Zhong Jing pointed out that the investment in 5G construction is huge, but there is a lack of smart healthcare applications. China Mobile urgently needs to define the overall smart healthcare architecture and related standards. China Mobile has released the overall framework of the "3+X" 5G smart hospital solution and is willing to work with industry partners to promote the maturity of the smart healthcare industry.

Cai Qing Yu, senior product manager of China Unicom intelligent network center, expressed his views on how to build a flexible 5G healthcare private network. In medical application scenarios, there are a large number of requirements for multiple devices, multiple service types, and different SLAs. These requirements are provided on demand for real-time collaboration. Dynamic network slicing and MEC are used to construct a private healthcare network. Different areas have different slices. Each slice can meet the SLA requirements in different scenarios, providing optimal user experience.

Huo Li, director of the Guangdong Telecommunications Planning and Designing Institute, said that 5G will integrate and innovate information and healthcare technologies, combine application requirements with 5G, IoT, and AI technologies, and jointly build a new industry ecosystem to explore 5G healthcare application scenarios and pave the way for transformation and upgrade.

Lv Ming, director of the industry development dept of Huawei cloud core network, discussed the risks of 5G deterministic networking in terms of technology, ecosystem, and business in the healthcare Internet field, and suggested that 5G healthcare advance in exploration based on key scenarios.

At this conference, the topic, task, and objective of the 5G deterministic networking alliance healthcare Internet group were clarified. Participants will continue to communicate and cooperate with each other to accelerate the development of the 5G healthcare industry and lead the new era of smart healthcare.
